Refreshing Berry Smoothie Bowl
I’ve been loving my smoothie bowls lately! Oatmeal – see you back in the fall time when it gets colder.
They are super refreshing during the warmer days and a great way for diversifying your diet if you’re having trouble with adding more fruit/veggies to your diet. I love snacking and eating fruit throughout the day either way, but.
Not going to lie, making different colored and flavored smoothie bowls every morning has become my favorite part of my morning. It’s so fun 😀
They are quick and simple to make, so great for those mornings when you don’t have a lot of time to prepare your breakfast.
Smoothie bowls are also a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
Here is a recipe for a Refreshing Berry Smoothie Bowl, which was my last week’s favorite breakfast smoothie bowl 😍 Super creamy, refreshing, not overly sweet, and filling!
Berry smoothie bowl essentials
Blueberries – Blueberries are full of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. They are a great source of Vitamin K and vitamin C. Blueberries are one of my ultimate favorite berries and I love adding them to smoothies.
Strawberries – Berries in general are great for your body. They contain high amounts of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Berries can help your immune system with their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Strawberries are high in Vitamin C and contain other nutrients such as manganese. And yes – another favorite berry of mine, especially during the summertime when they are in season 🍓
Mango – Mangoes are great for your digestion and they make ANY smoothie taste super good! Mangoes are also a great source of vitamin C and A. I normally use frozen mangoes. After getting used to eating mangoes in Spain, they just taste very blah back here in Finland.
Coconut Milk – I love adding full-fat coconut milk into my smoothies! It makes them thicker, and creamier! + It keeps me full longer. Coconut milk has anti-inflammatory properties which means it can help support your immune system.
Oat milk – I like adding plant-based milk instead of water, so the smoothie tastes creamier. You can use whatever plant-based milk you like 🙂

Tips and notes
Another thing I’ve been loving, are these re-usable ziplock bags for prepping my smoothies! I threw my pre-cut fruits and berries in one of these, and I can easily use it the next morning. My freezer is always full so I can’t have too bulky containers sitting there, and these don’t take that much space. Plus I can see through it so it makes it easier to keep on track of what is in which bag 😃
If you want to make your smoothie bowl more filling and nourishing, you can throw in half of an avocado and top everything with crunchy and delicious granola! You can also use nut butter, coconut oil, chia seeds, flaxseeds, or flaxseed oil for healthy fats.
Use frozen berries and fruits for the best consistency for your smoothie bowl!
